There will be a test…

We have huge appreciation for some similar plots and graphs that existed prior to Jump Plot.

The layout of the Arc diagram was discovered to be very similar to Jump Plot, especially when using Jump Plot in Aggregation mode. However the placement and purpose of both checkpoints/nodes and hops/arcs as well as height of hops/arcs is very different between the Arc diagram and Jump Plot.
The evaluation of a distribution of events was an input to Jump Plot and was expanded on with this graph type as described on the alternatives page as well.
The sequencing involved in the directed network graph also played a part in the placement of checkpoints within a sequence, however the addition of hops differentiates the Jump Plot from this graph type.
